Naga Babu is the popular name of Sri Konidela Nagendra Rao, a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council (MLC) from the Janasena Party and Chairman of the Executive Committee of AP Green, a post carrying Cabinet rank. He is the brother of Deputy Chief Minister Sri Pawan Kalyan and Megastar Chiranjeevi, and a former Telugu film actor and National Award-winning producer.

The Great Green Wall of Andhra Pradesh is a coastal shelterbelt programme that raises a continuous line of palmyra and salt-tolerant plantations along the shoreline to shield villages and farmland from cyclonic winds, sand drift and saline ingress. As AP Green Chairperson, Naga Babu inspected the belt at Suryalanka in September 2026.
What is the sea turtle conservation programme in Bapatla district?

It is a community based Olive Ridley sea turtle conservation programme run by the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department and the TREE Foundation under ITC Mission Sunehra Kal. Coastal villagers are trained as a Sea Turtle Protection Force to patrol nesting beaches, relocate eggs into protected hatcheries and release hatchlings to the sea. Naga Babu visited the camp in September 2026.
